I am living a real-life “fish out of water” story after recently relocating from Florida to Minnesota. I’m an art historian and writer, and I absolutely love talking to people about ART!

Since 2017, I have nurtured The Wandering Art Historian “brand” as a way to connect with people who want to learn more about art, artists, and artistic movements throughout history. I give lectures, teach classes, and host book club discussions with a creative or artistic connection.

In 2021, I had a creative crisis. I struggled with authenticity in the art-making process. I decided to make myself vulnerable and find out what a real, genuine “Adrienne H. Lee artwork” would look like. The process was challenging and emotional and revelatory. I learned that if necessity is the mother of invention, then authenticity is the mother of reinvention and it is never too late to be the real you.

My debut novel is now two years old! The Autobiography of an Infinite Being or How I Turned into a Bird on My 80^th Birthday is the result of a creative and emotional crisis experienced during the pandemic and it’s the piece of art I am most proud of.
