“Loving Vincent” at the Golden Globes

The 2018 Golden Globe nominations were announced yesterday and “Loving Vincent” was nominated for Best Animated Film!  I was fortunate enough to see this film twice in the theaters and I will purchase the film when it is released on Blu-Ray in January.  It is a film that can change your life – if you let it.

I am so pleased to announce that I will be offering my lecture, “The Legacy of Vincent van Gogh,” again this spring – twice! – at SoBo Gallery.  In September, I offered this lecture courtesy of the Winter Garden Art Association to two sold out sessions and spoke with a number of people who were sorry that they had missed it.  Here’s your chance!

  • “The Legacy of Vincent van Gogh” – Thursday, February 22nd from 6:00 – 7:30pm.
  • “The Legacy of Vincent van Gogh” – Saturday, March 3rd from 4:00 – 5:30pm.
  • Both sessions take place at SoBo Gallery in Winter Garden, FL located at 127 S. Boyd Street.

I am writer and artist with a degree in art history who loves to talk to people about art. I have spent the last seven years building up The Wandering Art Historian “brand” as a way to connect with people who want to learn more about art. I decided to make myself vulnerable and find out what a real, genuine Adrienne H. Lee artwork would look like. The process was challenging and emotional and revelatory. I learned that if necessity is the mother of invention, then authenticity is the mother of reinvention. I reinvented myself and learned an entirely new medium. The resulting artwork surprised me, and it will surprise you, too. Some people wish for a fairytale ending. For me, the fairy tale is only the beginning.
