I have been trying to find the right balance of academia and creativity this month. I have multiple lectures on the horizon and a few that are brand new. However, I don’t want to completely stop painting altogether while researching and producing new lectures.
My artistic goal from 2017 carries into 2018 – to only paint things that make me happy. Trying to find the balance between research and painting was stressing me out a bit, so I painted Snoopy and Woodstock to cheer myself up.
I call this pair “True Friendship” because Snoopy and Woodstock are always there for each other despite being two completely different species. They never see their differences, only their similarities. Oh, that we pitiful humans could do the same in 2018!
“Snoopy” is acrylic on canvas and measures 8″ x 10″, while “Woodstock” is also acrylic on canvas, but measures 4″ x 4″.
