Another Fringe has come and gone and so begins the post-Fringe sads. I saw incredible shows this year, full of innovation, comedy, drama, insight and heart. I lucked out on a few free parking spots and enjoyed cloudy, cool and breezy weather thanks to Subtropical Storm Alberto.
Visual Fringe broke new records in art sales this year with 70 pieces from the gallery finding new homes. I am grateful I had the opportunity to volunteer quite a few shifts and even sold some of my small paintings while sharing my time at the Visual Fringe table.
The thing I love most about Fringe is that when I’m there, I don’t feel like such a weirdo. For two weeks, I get to hang out with the most creative, inventive, unusual, talented and fabulous people one will ever meet and it is glorious. That’s because at Fringe, we are ALL weirdos and that’s totally ok. In fact, it’s celebrated.
So, to all my fellow Fringers, see you same time next year and in the meantime, don’t let this crazy world drag you down.
