“Coco” is a film that sticks with you long after you’ve seen it. I am continually inspired by this visually breathtaking and emotionally uplifting film and can’t make it through the soundtrack without crying. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s on Netflix, so go watch it ASAP!
In the meantime, here is my tribute to Frida Kahlo’s cameo in “Coco.” It’s only right that in The Land of the Dead she’s a performance artist. She is finally free from the constraints of her physical body and everything becomes ART. I had to paint her with a smirk. It is only in death that she is finally alive.
