I feel honored and very humbled to have my work included in the upcoming 15 Squared Art Show. I am one of 15 Central Florida artists invited to create 15 small artworks for display at The Barefoot Spa. With works no larger than 12” x 12”, each artist was challenged to create art inspired by four topics – anatomy, landscapes, the 1970’s and artist’s choice.
As an artist, I took these requirements very seriously and made it an opportunity to creatively challenge myself even more so than usual. I decided to interpret each topic as to what that topic meant to me personally and that resulted in landscapes inspired by Magritte, sugar skulls representing anatomy and my earliest connection to the pop culture of the 1970’s… Sesame Street.
I will be sharing these paintings on the blog over the next few weeks. For more information on the 15 Squared Art Show, please visit…
