Painted Pumpkins

To be perfectly honest, I can’t remember ever carving a pumpkin for Halloween.  My parents made us stop celebrating Halloween when I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade, so it wasn’t until I was an adult that I was able to return to the best holiday of the year.

Knives and gourds make me a little nervous, but painting pumpkins feels just right.  When I started researching ideas (you know I love research!), I was amazed by all the creative designs I found!  I decided to test a few out on some Styrofoam pumpkins I got for super cheap at Michael’s.

I had so much fun painting these pumpkins and I can’t wait to paint more this Tuesday, October 15th.  Meet me in the pumpkin patch at St. Luke’s UMC from 5:00 – 6:30pm!  Pumpkins range in price from $1 – $30 depending on size and all proceeds benefit St. Luke’s youth programs.  After you’ve picked out your pumpkins, join me for a painting party!  This event is free and all art supplies will be provided.
