On July 14th, Banksy’s Instagram followers were treated to a delightful one minute video of the the artist himself literally suiting up as a London Underground cleaner in order to create a powerful new art piece in full view of the public. The video shows Banksy – still completely anonymous in his protective suit, mask and goggles – stenciling his iconic rats to the walls of a London subway carriage. What is extra special about these Banksy rats is that some wear masks and encourage tube riders to do the same.

Sadly, the artwork has since been cleaned (by proper cleaning professionals) and the work only lives on in photographs and the video shared on Banksy’s social media. One art world broker speculated that the work had an estimated value of $9.4 million.
