Art Walk: A Canvas of Expression at Disney Springs

It has been quite a while since I ventured anywhere near the House of Mouse, but on a recent visit to Disney Springs I went in search of something very special that I read about on their website. If you decide to go hunting for this incredible experience, keep your eyes peeled as it is tucked away and you just might miss it.

It’s the Art Walk: A Canvas of Expression

The reason this gem of an artistic experience is so difficult to find is due to limited (and poor) signage directing people to it. Plus, the primary mural wall runs parallel to the Disney bus transfer depot which is facing away from all the people traffic of the Disney Springs Town Center area. Honestly, if you’re not looking for it, you might miss it completely. Sadly, the folks who do stumble upon the Art Walk are all rushing to catch buses back to their resorts.

That said, the natural light is phenomenal and it illuminates these monumental public artworks in such a way that all the colors are that much more vibrant. Each one is unique and dynamic and inviting and I was stunned that more people weren’t taking selfies or capturing their Instagram moment. Of course, that’s because they didn’t want to miss their busses.

Have a look at a few of my favorite murals…

  1. COMMENTSpread the word about how to find & view these spectacular murals Disney Springs.  Thomas Hart Benton would be thrilled since he is champion of “public art” & best mural painter of all time!  Thx for art tip to tour.
