A Conversation with the Author at the LCFA

I am so grateful to all those who came out to support me at my very first author event on Saturday, March 30th at the Leesburg Center for the Arts.

Honestly, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but the event went incredibly well! For the most part, nearly everyone who attended had already read The Autobiography of an Infinite Being or How I Turned into a Bird on My 80th Birthday. That surprised me, but it resulted in some really good questions from the audience (like, really, really good!), and a wonderful discussion on the art-making process, authenticity in art and who art is for – the artist/author or the viewer/reader.

Yeah, we got kind of existential!

My utmost gratitude to the director of the LCFA, Richard Colvin, for moderating this event, asking thoughtful and insightful questions and for generating a meaningful conversation that included everyone present.

Video was shot of this event and our amazing discussions, so be sure to look for that coming soon to The Wandering Art Historian YouTube channel!

Here’s a quick video recap of the event…

  1. Can’t miss combination Adrienne’s enthusiasm and knowledge in her gorgeous “flower dress” which may be her signature book discussion fashion! I look forward to video of the Leesburg Center for the Arts video with Adrienne.
