Fall Lecture Preview #1

To all those who have been following this blog for a while, you know that this has been an extraordinarily busy summer for me… and I LOVE it!  I am working on a variety of art projects, researching new lecture topics, hosting the Art Lovers Book Club AND teaching classes as part of the Rollins Center for Lifelong Learning.  Would you also believe I am producing a brand new lecture series for the fall?

It’s true!  I am currently producing a lecture series titled, “How to Read a Painting.”  This three-part series will introduce attendees to the clues “hidden” inside paintings that help the viewer “read” what the painting represents.  The first session is all about COLOR and the immensely important role color plays in deciphering a painting.  Colors have different meanings in different cultures and their importance can change and evolve over time.  I promise that this will be a fascinating exploration of something we often take for granted… COLOR!
