Our Pumpkin Patch

Halloween 2018 was amazing and I am definitely bummed out coming down off that Halloween high.  I feel like our set up this year went well, despite the fact that I had to simplify our theme (due to our crazy schedules) and recycle our costumes from two years ago.  That being said, our homemade pumpkin patch turned out rather well if I do say so myself.  All the murals were painted with acrylic paint on cardboard and inspired by the full moon scene in the Halloween special, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!”  We lit the “full moon” with some lights from an old light kit we have and posted signs saying, “Welcome Great Pumpkin!”  We hid a speaker playing the music from the special in the dog house I built and Chip – as Snoopy’s WWI Flying Ace character – was the center of attention.

Now to start planning for next year!
