Halloween is almost here and I am so excited to share the final staging of this year’s theme, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!” I have painted a few murals for backgrounds and I have all the costumes ready, so keep your fingers crossed that it all comes together on Halloween night. In the meantime, here’s my attempt at recreating Snoopy’s dog house.
Our pup, Chipper, will obviously be playing the role of Snoopy as the WWI Flying Ace, so I definitely had to build a dog house this year. Since I have zero power tools, I used cardboard, making the whole dog house lightweight and easy to move around. I used an entire can of red spray paint and then hand-painted the black lines to emphasize the cartoonish element Snoopy’s dog house.
I am considering keeping the dog house and after Halloween is over, decorating it for Christmas the way Snoopy does in the Charlie Brown Christmas Special. We’ll see!
