Coffee Shop of Horrors

I have wanted to visit the Coffee Shop of Horrors for quite a while now and I am so glad I finally got the opportunity.  I had heard of its unique theming (you know how I love scenic theming and props!) and was very curious to see how it worked in a cafe setting.  I am pleased to say that I was not disappointed!  The Coffee Shop of Horrors is a magical gem “hidden” in Montverde, FL.  I say “hidden” in quotes because while this place may be out-of-the-way, compared to most other coffee shops, it really stands out.

First of all the “horror” theme is not overwhelming by any means and should not be a deterrent if you don’t care for that genre.  If anything, it feels like a little bit of Halloween all year long.  That’s probably because of the two giant trees, complete with bronze autumnal leaves, on either side of the interior of the shop and all the horror-inspired artwork and collectibles on display.  Even their coffee roasts have horror-inspired names like “Graveyard Shift,” “Mornings Are Evil,” “Reanimator,” and “Zombie Dirt.”  Additionally, everyone was super nice and welcoming and the very best part of all?  Their coffee was amazing!
