“Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse”

The Geek Out! Art Show opened last week at Dandelion Community Cafe in Orlando, FL and I am pleased to share that I have a few pieces in the show.  In an attempt to push myself creatively, I have been busy painting all new artwork for 2019’s art shows and events.  Of course, that means a ton of new pop culture references and I am thrilled that some of those references made it into the Geek Out! Art Show.

Here are two of those paintings…

The two paintings featured in the image attached to this post are inspired by the film, “Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse,” one of my favorite films of 2018.  In fact, it also won a slew of awards including the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.  This fresh and inventive take on the Spider-man franchise sees the main character, Miles Morales, living in a world in which Peter Parker has died and the idea of Spider-man seems about to fade away forever.

I won’t share more than that because there are so many wonderful twists and turns in this extremely well-told story that I want you to enjoy all the surprises.  Obviously, I highly recommend the film!

Here’s more info on the paintings…
