Agent Phil Coulson

Last week I saw “Avengers: Endgame” and the show “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns in nine days making it a wonderful time to be alive if you are a huge MCU fan like myself.  One of the best characters (if not THE best character) of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a crossover character that appears in both the films and in the show AoS and that character would be Agent (and eventually, Director) Phil Coulson.  Brilliantly played by the actor, Clark Gregg, Phil Coulson is a perpetual fan favorite and was the inspiration for a recent cosplay opportunity.

My husband and I are members of a trivia team that recently participated in an MCU-themed event.  Those attending the event in cosplay as an MCU character earned their team additional points and so, my husband attended as Agent Phil Coulson.  What sets a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent apart from just another guy in a suit are the props.  In addition to Coulson’s trademark aviator sunglasses, I created S.H.I.E.L.D. badges (in both clip-on and lanyard format) and “vintage” Captain America trading cards (in near mint condition, of course).

The whole look went over swimmingly and we definitely earned our extra points.
