New Year, New Classes!

The new year is finally here – YOU MADE IT!  With a new year comes new journeys through art history.  Are you ready to wander with me in 2020?

I am offering six classes this spring with the Rollins Center for Lifelong Learning.  I am bringing one class out of The Wandering Art Historian “vault” for my friends at The Mayflower and I will be retiring another.  Plus, I am debuting a brand-new class that I am SO excited to share with you, so stay tuned!  Here’s what’s coming in February…

February Classes with the RCLL

Art History in Pop Culture *I am bringing this class out of retirement specifically for my friends at The Mayflower.*

This class is all about finding the connections in today’s pop culture and social media to traditional art history.  We will discuss how to read a meme like a painting and whether selfies are modern day self-portraits.  This class is super fun and no social media experience is required.

Join me Mondays this February at 11:00am at The Mayflower in Winter Park.

Introduction to Art History

This class will benefit newcomers and seasoned museum-goers alike as we learn to read paintings by identifying the clues – Colors, Symbols and Stories.

I hope to see you Wednesdays this February at 11:00am on the campus of Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.
